Terms of service

These terms govern the local Shipping Contract Guard extensions and the optional Operator service, operated from Belgium under the name Shipping Contract Guard. Contact: hello@shippingcontractguard.com.

Magento Open Source extension license

A verified Magento installation package is not currently available. The version references below describe earlier preview work and do not establish current availability or compatibility. See the Magento preview status. This availability clarification does not change the license terms below.

Shipping Contract Guard Local for Magento Open Source is free. Version 1.1.0 also contains an optional Operator connector behind separate default-off settings. We grant you a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install, run, and modify the extension for stores that you own or operate. You may make reasonable backup copies and allow your employees and contractors to use it for those stores.

You may not sell, sublicense, publish, or distribute the extension or a modified copy as a standalone product, and you may not remove copyright or license notices. Version 1.0.0 requires no account and sends no extension data to us or another external service.

The extension is provided as-is to the extent permitted by law. You are responsible for reviewing check definitions, testing changes, keeping backups, and the shipping information shown to customers. It does not replace storefront, payment, or complete checkout testing.

Professional use

The paid Operator plan is offered only to businesses and professionals acting for purposes related to their trade or profession. By subscribing, you confirm that you have authority to connect the WooCommerce or Magento site and accept these terms for that organization.

Service and limits

Operator covers one connected site under the plan shown at checkout. It can run supported shipping checks on a schedule, warn when checks stop, send alerts, and keep 90 days of short result summaries outside the store. WooCommerce also supports its published change and follow-up process. Magento 1.1.0 sends signed result summaries and records when scheduled checks started; the exact Magento service included at launch will be stated before sale. Local features remain free. Unsupported behavior is reported as “Could not verify” or “unknown” instead of being assumed to work. The service does not guarantee that every shipping setting is correct, that every checkout path is tested, or that the last settings change caused a failed check. You remain responsible for store settings, backups, releases, and the shipping information shown to customers.

Price, tax and renewal

Operator costs EUR 29 a month for one site, plus any tax calculated by Stripe. Magento Operator is not yet offered for sale; the same approved price will apply only after its service and publication are separately approved. Stripe charges the selected payment method when you subscribe and on each monthly renewal until cancellation. Checkout must show the final amount before you confirm. Seeing the payment success page does not turn on Operator. Stripe must confirm the active subscription through a verified billing message.

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel at any time through the Stripe self-service billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals and service continues through the paid billing period unless Stripe states otherwise. Payments already collected are not normally refunded, without limiting rights that cannot legally be excluded. Send billing questions to hello@shippingcontractguard.com.

Availability and acceptable use

We may maintain, change or discontinue features and will use reasonable care, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Do not probe, overload, bypass access controls, submit unlawful material, resell the service without permission, or connect a site you are not authorized to manage. We may suspend access needed to protect the service, customers or third parties.

Liability and law

To the extent permitted by law, the extensions and service are provided without implied warranties. Total liability arising from the paid service is limited to the fees you paid for it during the preceding three months. Total liability arising from a free extension is limited to the amount you paid for that extension. These limits do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data where the law allows that exclusion. Belgian law governs these terms, and disputes are submitted to the competent Belgian courts unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

Changes

Material changes apply prospectively from the stated effective date. Continued use after notice of a material change constitutes acceptance; if you disagree, cancel before the change takes effect.
